SCIENCE explored by students in Science classes. Nuclear physics and its i m p o r t a n c e in the modern world, was studied in both chemistry and physics. The last few we e k s of biology were concerned with radioactive materials and their use in disease and explorations of plants and animal functions. There were many projects in the different classes. SCIENCE Mysteries in nature and physical world Science courses this year were keynoted by experiments and class discussions. Films and reports supplimented the class work. Physics, chemistry, biology, and general science were the subjects offered. A student must be a junior or senior to take chemistry and physics, a sophomore or higher to take biology. SOCIAL SCIENCE Students learn of world affairs, past and Lela Windrow, Johnny Marietti, Frankie Essex, and Peggy Abell call different clergymen in the area to make appoint- ments for interviews. These students were on t h e American Problems Church Com- mittee. Social Science this year consisted ofU.S. and world histories, American problems, occu- pations, geography, and practical c i v i c s. Mr. Charles H. Richardson and Mr. Bayard G. Odiorne directed these classes the first semester. Mr. Neal Nichols replaced Mr. Odiorne at the beginning of the second semester. Senior s were required to pass a test on the Arizona Constitution and juniors to pass a test on the United States Constitution. Mr . Charles H. Richardson - B. A. , Tennessee U. ; M.
