SENIORS The 1949 senior class began a very pleasant final year in Morenci High with an election of officers. Glenn Simons was elected president, Neils Larson vice-president, Mada Pharis, secretary and Beverly Williams, treasurer. The activities of the year began with a picnic at Eagle Creek. The second big event in which the seniors participated was, “Lost Horizon,” the Junior Senior Play. The high points of the year were Ditch Day and the Junior-Senior Banquet. Despite vowing for four years that they would be happy to graduate, the seniors found on the eve of graduation that reluctance to leave was mingled with their antici- pated joy.
