Sophomore, john Gibson Forward .TCH GIBSO A Sophomore this year, John moved into a starting birth at forward. john is a native of Prestonburg, Kentucky, stands 6-5 and weighs 197. He has large hands and does an extremely fine job of rebounding. John averaged just under 10 points a game as a freshman last year and shoots well from the corner. This season John has become an asset to Coach Laughlin's big front line in grabbing off many rebounds. 6 il Cole on defense . . . ARTHUR COLE Arthur is a senior forward from Camargo where he was one of the most prolific scorers in the state as a senior, hitting 66 points in one game. Unusually fast for his size and a rugged rebounder, he captured 120 rebounds last year. ORMA POKLEY Standing just under 6-S, sophomore Norman Pokley is a regular at for- ward. A rugged 2l5 pounder, Norman is a tremendous rehounder who Coach Laughlin has great hopes for. He is a native of Warren, Michigan, and is an outstanding student. Norm has been a strong man for the Eagles in the rebounding depart- ment. TOM ELLIS Tom is a sophomore from Amelia, Ohio. He stands 6-4 and weighs 193 and is rugged on the boards. This year Tom has been used Slmfingly, but has shown great desire and hustle to gain a starting position. I l lk I .,, X . v. r C, Tjz.. 3 M 3 4 - MICKEY MORGAN Mickey is probably one of the most under-rated guards in the tal- ent-loaded OVC. Mickey possesses a deadly left- handed jump shot, and is most val- uable for his hawk-line defensive play. The 6-1 senior scraps till the final horn. DON MARTIN Don is a 6-5 sophomore forward from Martin, Ky. Don hits with great regularity from the side and at 188, is a solid rebounder. Laughlin feels that Don is a real find and with valuable game ex- perience under his belt could become a future Morehead starter. Morgan lays one in Martin in pre-game warm up . . .
