SOCCER Morehead entered the first annual soccer tournament in Kentucky col- lege history with an unexperienced team, and defeated Louisville, a team that has been organized for several years. The final match of the tournament was with Berea and the Eagles were defeated 5-1. M.S.C. received a runner-up tro- phy and was presented the Universi- ty of Louisville flag in a ceremony similar to the one prior to the Olym- pic soccer matches. Morehead was the most Ameri- canized team in the tourney, while the other teams were dominated with foreign students. ' A . Y-'-flyw, f' VN U. . ri T -e ft? These talent- ed students went to Marshall Col- lege in Huntington and carried away laurels in that field by winning the Four M Debate Contest. These debaters have traveled ap- proximately 3000 miles during the year and have participated in six different tournaments.
