GOVERNOR'S DAY Gov. Combs praises Morehead. Governor Bert T. Combs addressed an overflow crowd of 1500 in the Button Auditorium on June 22 at Gov- ernor's Day. He said, Morehead State College symbol- izes the new spirit of education in Kentucky. You are making real progress here at Morehead. CASA GRANDES Dr. Henry Carey, department head of Sociology of Morehead State College, has participated in the dig at Casa Grandes for the past several summers. Casa Grandes is located about 160 miles South of the American-Mexican border. This excavation has occurred each summer since 1953 and was also worked in the late 19305.
