Their purpose is to enjoy the game yet they also strive to gain insight into the strategy. Once a week they stimulate their interests by engaging in a challenging game of chess. Although chess can be a very competitive game, these mem- bers try to promote good fellowship among themselves. It is the first year for Mr. Dave Widmayer as the cIub's moderator. The co-moderator, Mr. George Watson, is trying this out for the first time also. The moderators as well as the members get a lot out of being in the Moreau Knights. They learn to organize thoughts and strategies by doing things one at a time and in a particular order. The members' goal is not only to master the game. but also to apply the playing exper- ience to other things in life.
