Well, basically the club is for those athletes who have earned a varsity letter in interscholastic athletics. This is the one requirement to be able to participate in the club. The club is run by Mr. Don Morneau and co-presidents Krista Rendon. Bob Zumwalt, Dan Squires and Jennifer Watson. The purpose of the Block M Club is to help promote and provide support for school spirit through fund raising events. For example. over the years they have hosted the Harlem Crowns. S.F. 49ers, Oakland Raiders and the KFRC All Stars Basketball Team. The monies raised in the past have gone to help assist Senior Nancy Ferreira with medical expenses and also to help pay for Block letters and pins for the varsity athletes. The club is continually attempting to raise the conscious- ness of the student body regarding the important role sport plays in the high school setting. Club Moderator Don Morneau states under the impres- sive leadership of the officers. this club has successfully sponsored a variety of entertaining events for the Moreau community. We hope to do the same in the future. 51
