S MPHONIC BA YU. V 14 ws.. JA 44 Switching Gears Once marching band season is over the band goes indoors. They switch gears from lhe exhausting practices and competition to a more relaxed parctice schedule high- ghted by a few concerts and some CMEA CCaIifornia Music Education Associationj -and festivals. Concert performances by the band include a Christmas concert, a pring concert. and the annual champagne concert. The champagne concert like last -ear was shared with the symphonic band from Bishop O'Dowd. This concert allows ompeting schools a chance to get together and perform without the pressure of ompetition or rivalry that often exists. Along with the marching band the symphonic and will be going to Canada and will perform at the World Expo in Vancouver. Q Y , A an Q A vw ZA SA I.
