As last year was their first competitive season the ariner diving team is still new to Moreau. The team is grown in size and the present team consists of ten vers: Lynette Duran, Mike Lyen, Dixie Harrison. Mi- :elle Assum. Dori Tehada, Frances Lewis. Charlie Bet- ncourt, Eddie Fernandes, Michelle Kensinger and Bri- i Hickey. Mark Libby, a graduate of the class of I984 is ce again the coach for the team's second season. The mpetition is tough for a spot on the varsity team. The team is only allowed four varsity divers, two girls and two guys. Criteria for the varsity team include proficiency with all five compulsory dives. These dives include: forward dive. back dive, inward dive, reverse dive, and a forward dive with a half twist. The diving meets combine both the compulsory dives with optional ones, and a complicated system of scoring to deter- mine the overall winner. lt looks like this year's team will have a very successful season.
