DGMINAN Although adjustments had to be made this year, the l985-86 GirI's Soccer Team was again a DOMINANT FORCE in their league. Set backs occurred at the begin- ning ofthe year, but the team strongly overcame them to place a close second to archrival Carondelet for the league title. The injury sustained by senior goalie Jenni- fer Watson was considered to be crucial at the beginning of the year, but junior Janet Zamrow took over and adjusted to the position superbly. The goals she scored on headballs were ama ing. Also playing extremely well were seniors Peggy Spen e. and Cami Hart, juniors Anna Atayde and Susie Sorn erger, sophomores Gina Moreno and Beth Gier, and fres men Curshanda Cusseaux and Shanan Carney. The Moreau Varsity Golf Team returns for the i986 season as the defending CAL champs. The Mariners finished with a I4 and 3 overall record, and a sparkling 8 and O slate in league play. Although the squad lost its number one and number two players to graduation, the returning nucleus along with some talented freshmen. promises to be very tough and competitive. This year's team is led by junior Paul Delucchi, this year's captain. Returning for their senior seasons are Jeff isher, Keith Switzer, Bill Aliski, and Dave Kim. First ear players are Jim Mootz, Bryan Carroll, and Angel Shaheen. a transfer from Mission San Jose. Sopho ore Ken Fernandez is a first year player with lots o potential.
