The Boy's Varsity Basketball Team of I985-86 is rath- er young, with only four returnees from last year: sen- ior Bob Zumwalt, senior Carlos Zertuche, and the team's co-captains, senior Mike Hansen and Junior Tim Slone. Also on the team are two seniors new to varsity: Aaron Smallwood and Dan Squiers. The remaining eight play- ers have moved up from last year's .IV and Frosh teams. Although most of the boys are new to the grueling work of varsity, their Moreau Spirit and enthusiasm has not diminished. , ,pair G yyilfiw' IJ. Giving Their ll This year's JV Basketball team was a young but very hardworking team. The team got off to a solid 8-5 start in the preseason. including impressive wins over American. Amador, and Foothill. The young Mariners won the Con- solation of the Fremont Christian Tournament. A team which was particularly tough at home, Moreau boasted a very balanced team of twelve atheletes who were basically interchangeable.
