Using their combined talents, the l985 boys junior varsity cross country team had an excellent season. After a defeat in a dual meet with De La Salle, earlier in the season, the junior varsity team came back to defeat them in the league finals at Crown Memorial Park in Alameda. Outstanding performances were given by Darryl Pretto, Scott Geyer, and Don Heinlein who took first, second, and third places respectively. First Time. . .Meet Of Champions The l986 Girl's Cross Country Team ran to another great finish. For the first time in Moreau's history, the girls made it to Meet of Champions. Overall, they placed second in League and fourth in NCS 2A South. Many outstanding performances were made by many individual runners. Senior Krista Rendon, Junior Kelly Homa, and Sophomore Carrie O'Conner all placed in the League's Top Ten. Throughout the year, their perfor- mances were as exemplary as the school they belong to. Their determination led as an example for the entire team, Determination and pride also dominated the team. Senior team Count Ericka great Beth thoug Girls Wilde Molly Woelfer held a consistent fifth on the espite this being her first season with the Cross y Team. Senior Marrianne Guesnon, Junior Schuh, and Sophomore Denise Ten Bosch, made improvements throughout the year. Sophomore ier was a strong number four on the team even her dislike of distance running.
