This years varsity football team finished 7 wins and 3 losses. Their record doesn't really tell the true story of how well this team played. For the first time in the schools history, the Mariner Football Team was ranked in the state of California. ,The team defeated 3 North Coast Section Teams. San Leandro 35-7, Encinal 2l-IO. and Washington 2l-l4. On offense the Mariners were 3rd in the Easy Bay. The offense was led by the running of Braxton Banks, the passing of Craig Rowe, the receiving of Tim Slone, Glenn Baxley, Mike Rossi and Joe Farrish, and the out- standing line play of Dan Squires, Dave Pereria and Mike Wenzler. The unsung players of our fine offensive l.
