Led by co-cap- tains Steve Libby and Eric Medellin, the JV's displayed a great deal ot enthusiasm and unity. Highlights of the season included a solid 8-6 presea- son record, an outstanding home court mark ot 9-3 and a memorable upset win over first place Bishop O'Dowd. Guards Dan Slone, Robbie Brink and Paul Zenedias combined with frontline play- ers Bob Robello, Pat Smith, Darren Ravazza, Steve Moore and Matt Lillie made the team very well-balanced. Uackiei

The Frosh Stat girls show their interest in the game. 1 ff f ,Z F rosh Pre-season play was good for the all-new Mariner boys Freshmen basketball team. Robert Alvarado one ot the team's foremost players, who benifited the team with 115 points in pre-season play, commented that, the best thing about the teams first S . 5 . . . . .. 5 . ..,. ,, Basketball year is that they have a great foundation in which to grow on in the next tour years. Overall the team is really to- gether. Most of their winning came from their spirit. The team's moral was high and so was their team commaradery. Coach McMillian believe that working with his player on a one to one basis is im portant, just as important as l is tor them to learn to worl with each other as a tearr That is what the word tean stands for . . . TOGETHER.
