For the past seven years Moravian College has been under the leadership of Dean Marlyn A. Rader. This past year he resigned the position of dean to return to full-time teaching. During Dean Rader's time of service, Moravian grew in size and strength and underwent many changes both in facilities and curriculum. We note in particular the reduc- tion of the basic requirements to permit students greater flexibility in course selection, and the additions of the Honors and Independent Study programs, all of which have immeasurably strengthened education at Moravian. But we will remember Dean Rader most for his Warm and sympathetic understanding and his courteous atten- tion to our problems, large and small. In recognition of the great strides Moravian College made under his leader- ship and in appreciation of his friendly help and counsel to Moravian students, we dedicate the 1961 Benigna to Marlyn A.
