Although the team completed the season with a 0-10 record, more individual matches were won than ever before. Mary Ingebrand and Kris Pederson had a good year, and being only eighth grad- ers, will be the upcoming stars of the team next year. Mary went on to sub-region tournament play at St. Cloud. After trying for 3rd place in the singles seeding tournament. Mala Murthy and Lisa Lacher brought in the most points for the team by winning five matches. Mr Orazem was the coach for this season. The team things that he did a good job and they hope to see him back next year. Among the downs” of not getting uniforms until the season was over and waitresses in Aitkin, the team enioyed many ups such as ge-tmg a van, swimming in C-l, seeing the coach in uniform, and going to the U S. womens indoor tennis championships. All in all it was a great year and we expect an even better one next season. Coach Orazem said it all for us when he said “I don't care if they think I'm weird or not. I'm having fun. J Larson FFA I have found this year in Mora a good experience. I think that to be a foreign exchange student is the right way to learn another country. By living in the U S. I have learned a lot of your customs, culture, and I have made many friends. There is many differences between the U S. and Norway. One thing is the school system, in Norway 9 years are required. After that you have to find the right school that tits your plans. When I go back to Norway I have to go back to my school and finish a 3 year academic. (I have 1 year left) Another difference is the language of course After many battles although I have had 7 years of English at home I finally managed it People understand me After this year in America I have had a lot of questions. Poor all who answered me. And I would like to thank my great family and all the good friends for helping me out. Also for giving me a great time here in the U.S. I'm going to tell all my friends back in Norway about all of you all! To you that would like some adventure and have a great time in a foreign country: Apply AFS next fall, you will never regret it.
