Procession to stage At 8:00 P.M., October 7, 1965, 1964’s Home- coming Queen Cheryl Smith, escorted by Student Council President, Louis Frykman, led the proces- sion of four escorted homecoming candidates down the steps to the strains of a piano march playedbyBill Fisher. Mr. Jeff Saari served as Master of Ceremonies. Autumn Leaves , also the theme of the coronation, was sung by Connie Ericksen and Jim Trupe sang the traditional Blue Velvet as Queen Nancy ascended her throne. After the coronation, everyone rushed out to a huge bonfire pre- pared by the sophomores, a pep fest, and snake dance. Homecoming was off to a great start. 6

Queen + Bonfire+ Band + Game = More yardage by Anderson Anderson gains 1st down The Mustangs celebrates their 1965 Homecoming in exciting but frustrating fashion as they ran up a huge statistical advantage but had to leave the field satisfied with a 6-6 tie. With the exception of a defensive lapse on punt coverage late in the second quarter, Mora controlled the play as they ran 65 offensive plays for 231 yards and 13 first downs to Princeton's 31 offensive plays and 63 yards for 4 first downs. Mora threatened early in the second quarter but a 15-yard holding penalty at the Princeton two ended a splendid scoring opportunity.
