The annuals were delivered in the fall as in previous years because in this way a whole year's events can be contained in one book. Mr. Bob Schuler, from the WCMP Radio Station provided the entertainment for the evening by playing old-time and popular music. Refreshments were served to anyone who wanted them. The party was well attended; es- pecially by those who were interested in signing annuals and by those who were interested in having their annuals signed. We. of the Mustang Staff, hope that this publication will add to your enjoyment of the coming years. We wish to thank Mr. Highum, Mr. Kufus, the custodians, Mr. Orren Lucht, and all those who helped to make this publication possible. 25 Queen Rita and King Jim Royal Couple HOME Homecoming Parade Queen Rita's Attendants COMING Go Mustangs val Court A x t LEFT TO RIGHT: Karen Bassett, Irene Strandlund, Helen Rau, Nancy Belinski, Duane Radeke, Jerome Carlson, Queen Rita, King Jim, David Rodine, Maurice Inderlee. Renolds, D. Rodine, A. Ostrom, J. Nordenstrom, M. Indrelee, P. Davis, C. Dalbey, H. Rau. This year, the Mora High School Student Council strove for unity and strength. To attain these goals they made changes in their present con- stitution and tried a new form of council. Very briefly, the changes were as follows: The Junior and Senior Councils were combined into one group, members were chosen in the fall instead of the spring, members were chosen from homerooms instead of from specific grades, and the group met every week and through these meetings they worked for the benefit of the student body. Much credit should be given to President Irene, pictured here, for the effectiveness of the new council. Though the student body may doubt the helpfulness and efforts of the council at times, they should realize their importance and strive to help them. We want to wish the new council success in the future. 59 Irene Strandlund MUSTANG STAFF Advisor: Mr. Highum Co-Editors in Chief Karen Bassett Mary Larson Editor: Classes Ann Larson Editor: Highlights Jill Tool Editor: Sports Jerry Haines Editor: Activities Janice Gilbertson Editor: Faculty Linda Broostin Business Manager Faye Halverson 60 JoAnn, Linda and Ann Jerry, Wes, and Swan MIRROR STAFF Advisor: Mr. Porath Co-Editors in Chief N.
