SENIOR CLASS PROP HEC Y MOOREVILLE'S ANNUAL HOMECOMING DAY CELEBRATION I guess'th'5 old class of '49 is sorta surprised seeing how Mooreville has grown since they left. Seeing all these sky-scrapers and street cars sorta scared them. By the way, Mooreville has also spread out east about two miles. Right within the city limits there is a wonderful night spot owned by Lowery Tackett. It is still fenced in, too, but witha much nicer fence. Oh, yes! And on the inside they have awonderful floor show fea- turing their dainty ballerina, June Umfress and their night club canary, Varnell Caygle. Last week they had two very distinguished guests. They were Emogene Rayburn and Carnie Grimes from Hollywood who took Betty Grable and Alan Ladd's place when they retired. Yes, they are really an exciting team. We are sorry to say that Superintendent and Mrs. Jimmy Hussey couldn't be present. You see, since it has rained so much this past week, they couldn't make it as they are teaching at Houston now. BurmaPrice, who still isn't married, but hasn't given up, is their most loyal and ef- ficient teacher. She isn't here either as you can see. It is a greathonor to have Reverend Fred Leslie. Asmany marriages as he has performed, he is just now getting around to it himself. Of course, she is none other than Odie Vee White. They plan to be married in June. There is going to be a great show in town at the fair grounds next week. I think it will be proper to announce it here because its star will be a member of the old class. Yes, that riding queen Freck Westmore- land, will do her top performance in Rodeo on Parade . She will be riding the grand champion horse which she trained. We are indeed glad to have James Davis here tonight. He flew down from New York just for this occasion. He had to leave right in the middle of one of his best cases. He is a very prominent lawyer. Well, there sits Verna Jean and she has her little boy with her. Isn't he cute with those big brown eyes and black hair parted in the middle? Well, no wonder! Lookwhat agood looking daddy he has! I'll bet Charles Elliott is proud of his wife and son, too. Another romance has blossomed to its peak and Lenore and Madison finally broke down and got married. They really make a nice looking couple. Both are on the serious side of life. I'm sure they will make out just fine. Vernell Mills is really staying by that telepho'ne. Wonder if she will wait for that Parker boy to call her or if she calls him. She hasn't given up yet. Johnny Blanchard is determined to spend all his time being an admiral in the Navy. Oh well, Bobbie spends her time teaching her little boys to sing Anchors Aweigh. Girls, beware! I hear Ernest Bedford is on the loose again. He is just back from Reno. That is just his fifth so he is already looking for another--wife, that is! Well, we will have to quit because it is time for the Grand Ole Oprie . Onis Mitchell has run Minnie Pearl out of business..
