ff H 0 75 Come Sail Away, the theme of the 1978 junior- senior prom, was held at the new Airport Sheraton lnn, May 6, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. Over six hundred people attended the event which had been planned by the junior class and sponsors Miss Sue Squires and Mr. Stan Hall. The crowning of the king and queen took place at 11:00 p.m. with lim Bagley and Kathy Limbach reigning over the prom. The other candidates for king and queen were: Al McGuire and Pam Newgent, Delvin Young and Annetta Scott, and Dan Even and Sherri Crist. The candidates were introduced by junior class president Joe Copeland. Morningstar, a band with many relatives who attended the prom, provided the musical entertainment. 22

121. 162,-45am This year's musical, based on the Al Capp comic strip character Li'l Abner, was presented April 28 and 29 in the MHS gymnasium and viewed by packed houses each night. With outstanding performances by Don Reichard, Li'l Abner, Lori Hickerson, Daisy Mae, Mike Klass, Marryin' Sam, Lori Hickerson, Mammy Yokumg and David Strohmeyer, Pappy Yokum, the many hours spent in preparation were well rewarded. Mrs. Pam Anderson, stage director, and Mr. Gene Raymond, music director, along with many others, put more than their fair share into the production and with standing ovations on both nights, what better way was there to end long hours of work? if X I 1.3
