1. Mrs. Roberts is a prime target for the yearboolds sponge toss. 2. The class of '80 shows artistic talents with a first place Homecoming float. 3. Bruce Law gives a sigh of relief as he is pulled from Mr. Qualitza's bug . 4. The Indiana University calliope offers en- tertainment for spectators in the Home- coming parade, 5. The Great Boo Boo demonstrates the art of gold fish swallowing. 6. MHS even has its own clowns - mem- bers of the Drama Department.

Sapdamaras win fdanf builiing The event more people participated in than any other throughout the school year was Homecoming. MHS had traditionally been known for its elaborate and competitive float contest between classesg 1977 was no exception. Class officers and sponsors began planning for the construction of the floats the first week of school. The sophomore class, sponsored by Mr. Dennis Amrhein and Mrs. Lezette Harrington, was happiest with the mark it left as the number one float for Homecoming '77, However, the pride felt by each of us was obvious when rain threatened to dampen the hours of work we had completed, and we each ran to rescue our mark. .MA 3 -, all

1. Mr. Greg Silver isn't too neat, but he did swallow part of a pie very quickly. 2. Seniors show strength and determination in winning the tug-of-war. 3. MHS Homecoming queen Mary Neitzel reigned in the rain when showers drenched halftime ceremonies. 4. DeWayne Cooley holds very still as he gets his face painted by Drama Club mem- bers. 5. Rhonda Opel represents the sophomore class and becomes Homecoming princess. 6. Mr. Bob Ruble 'fenjoys the water inthe African Dip. X 'dx' Qs
