-fha'-iS affine: giv vfwiei 04066571555 An increase in class offerings throughout the years has given us the opportunity to explore many talents and leave the most positive marks of ourselves behind. While some of the achievements from classroom experiences may have seemed small at the time, many produced impressive results we were proud to display. Showcases were frequently filled with macrame', pottery, paintings, sketches, and jewelry produced by art students. Teachers and friends of home economics students were treated to a variety of goodies from the kitchen, auto mechanics students pushed or hauled in mechanical failures and actually drove them away after adjustments, music students shared vocal and instrumental accomplishments with the public, and building trades students constructed an entire house.

Sapdamaras win fdanf builiing The event more people participated in than any other throughout the school year was Homecoming. MHS had traditionally been known for its elaborate and competitive float contest between classesg 1977 was no exception. Class officers and sponsors began planning for the construction of the floats the first week of school. The sophomore class, sponsored by Mr. Dennis Amrhein and Mrs. Lezette Harrington, was happiest with the mark it left as the number one float for Homecoming '77, However, the pride felt by each of us was obvious when rain threatened to dampen the hours of work we had completed, and we each ran to rescue our mark. .MA 3 -, all
