Aiming at increased command of oral and written expression, the freshmen English students, having familiarized them- selves with the fundamentals of grammar, are given num- erous opportunities to apply them in a practical way in composition work and oral activities. Familiarization with some of the world's nob- lest written expression is gained in a study of literature which is integrated with the other language activities throughout the year.
