SOCIAL STUDIES These students are becom- ing acquainted with histori- cal events in American His- tory and the processes and problems of American dem- ocracy in the government and sociology class. American history, a re- quired course for juniors, is taught by Mr. Brack and Miss Gunderson. Seniors meet the requirement of two citizen- ship credits in the first sem- ester government class and the second semester sociolo- gy class taught by Mr. Potter. SCIENCE Students who yearn to delve deep into the mysteries of chemistry and physics are welcomed to Mr. Finke's science classes. Those who are taking these courses learn about the properties and composition of matter in an effort to understand more readily the various functions of the world about us and the whys and wherefores of the realm of nature. ADVANCED LANGUAGES Advanced languages con- sist of the junior and senior English classes and the sec- ond year Latin class. Iunior English is required, while senior English and Latin Il are electives which prove very useful to the student who intends to go to college. English is also beneficial to the student who doesn't in- tend to further his education in college, as it assists him in gaining facility in express- ing himself.
