Making the Old Scratch is fun; it's the reading that puts us to sleep. Expliqu6! Xanyuaye and Communications The Language and Communica- tions Department, headed by Mr. Roy Watkins, consisted of English, French, and Spanish. Students were required to take English each year at M.H.S. Some may also have wished to take a foreign language. French and Spanish were offered for these students. These courses not only taught usage of the lan- guage but also the customs of the French and Spanish-speaking peo- ple. 27 Don’t tell us that you don't understand that English. Bill.

Here at M.H.S., students were able to learn from the many resources in the library. Magazines, tapes, and films, as well as books, were avilable to all stu- dents this year. There was a brand new addition made to the library. It was called the Frank Fields section includ- ing books of politics and government. Here students could find information to help them with reports and research papers. Besides providing reference material, the library also gave students a quiet place to study. 29 We can stop acting when the camera is gone. E comes after D and before F . . . I think.
