Superintendent ef Seneels' Carl W. Hassel A.B., Taylor University M.A., Ball State Teachers College Ed.D., Syracuse University Our senior high school bears the nickname Quak- ers . Who were the Quakers . . . these people who have left a lasting mark on Moorestown and our school? The Quakers historically have stood for many things . . . freedom, opportunity for all . . . universal ed- ucation. Over the years, they have been much con- cerned in promoting the belief that a man ought to be iudged on the basis of his own merits . . . and not on the basis of race, creed or color. Today, the barriers that for generations have separated man from his fellow man are coming down all over our land. As you move out to new and expanded areas of responsibility, may the example set by the Quakers of old guide each of you toward lives of useful service both to God and your fellow men, free from the bonds of prejudice and hatred.
