Painting A Picture Of Individualism Unique as each individual is, lvloorestown High School harnessed each individual in the class of 1955 to paint a notable picture in the school's history. The color and brush strokes were made by individuals of the class. Each person added his own vital ideas and characteristics representing reciprocal influences of classmates and teachers. The picture portrays the different views reflected by individuals-in classes, sports, dramatics, government, music, or social activities. This class will be remembered not just as a blur of facts and figures, but as definite names and faces. Simultaneously, a picture of Moorestown High School was painted. lt revealed an individual and outstanding school with its ability to light the spark of Christian cultural learning beyond the realm of statistics. With graduation the paints, brushes and easels were put aside-the picture was complete! Wt ,Ie yo '4 I l--1 4

PAUL R. JONES We congratulate you as members of the Class of 1955. You have just accomplished one important step in your education. You are now entering a world which needs en- lightened citizens. As Aristotle once said: It is by educa- tion l learn to do by choice what other men do by con- straint of fear. It is just as true today that we must learn to govern ourselves with knowledge and wisdom. Therefore, it must be your duty to be certain that the foundations of democracy will not suffer by ignorance or fear. This is not an easy assignment, because our world is torn by very serious economic and social problems. These problems will require constant adjustment on your part to keep abreast of changing conditions. We trust the knowledge you have gained in this school will help you to meet all the new challenges of life. PAUL R. JONES Superintendent of Schools Messages To The Seniors ROBERT L. WORKMAN As you graduate from high school, you enter upon another phase of your life. Your standards of the past twelve years will either aid or hinder you as you assume your adult responsibilities in the community and in the nation. Each person has a pattern from which he builds his future. For the most part, his success will be determined by the type of criteria with which the original pattern was formed. Your parents and teachers have counseled you well. You are challenged to build your life according to the highest standards. You, the Class of 1955, have already shown that you are fine and worthwhile and we, of Moorestown High School, look to you to set high goals to dedicate yourselves to the advancement of the world in which you are an integral part.
