MARY E. ROBERTS High School Principal To Our Seniors: A preview of the 1952 Yearbook last March gave me great pleasure. Along with the thoughtful fore' word, the vivid glimpses of life in Moorestown High School, and the grateful presentation of many of the community organizations, agencies and businesses that contribute constantly to the sumftotal of our school experience within and beyond the classroom walls, I found an added value. Here is an awareness of the interfrelationships of school and community interests and activitiesg here is an appreciation of the intanf gibles that are more important than the objective features of life in school and beyond the schoolg here is a little cross section of life in a democracy. ln using the Key as your Yearbook Theme you invite the imagination of all who turn the pages of your book to project the future. You hold the Key to a brave new world to which science and the humanif ties have opened wide the door to world progress and world understanding. The Key people and the Key nations in the world of tomorrow to which we all look for the realization of the freedoms we cherish now as ideals, will be they who have educated minds and understanding hearts, who place spiritual values above material worth. With all barriers of prejudice and insularity leveled through understanding, may each member of the Class of 1952 make himself a worthy and active contributor to the group life of his community, the world. fn faffaf

PAULLR. JONES Supervising Principal To All Friends of Education: A new interest in the schools is evident throughout America. Never before have so many people demonstrated such a keen interest in the public schools. This upsurge of interest has been most fortunate because the schools have stood in need of greater understanding and support on the part of the public. Current needs and problems of the schools were set in the spotlight of public observation by the cirf cumstances of World Wgir II. Along with this awareness of many new problems confronting the schools has come an appreciation of what citizens can do to solve thein. Effective cooperation of educators, members of boards of education, parentfteacher groups and other lay groups has already shown definite progress. Much has been done in many communities by the team' work of citizens, and this effort if channeled constructively may prove to be the outstanding educational trend of the generation. 2406
