ef- i The Reagan home has always been the setting for several big events on our school calendar. In the early fall there is a faculty tea, and in Dec- ember there is the Christmas Party, where pres- ents and poetry predominate . On the Sunday before Christmas a tea is held for the alumni of the last four years, and the day before Commence- ment Mr. and Mrs. Reagan have a luncheon for the graduating class. Indeed, our principal is a man of varied inter- ests. He has raised everything from chickens to children. Each one of the three Reagan daughters attended M.F.S. and followed the trail to Earlham. Mr. Reagan is now the grandad of ten children living in New jersey and the state of Indiana. All former seventh graders are acquainted with Mr. Reagan's birdwalks. Ornithology is another of his preferred diversions, although when the duck-hunting season rolls around, he is not what we would term a pacifist! When Mr. Reagan found a great horned owl in 1943 he was the envy of all the local bird-watchers. As a member of the younger set of golfing Quakers Mr. Reagan has won the Divotee Trophy innumerable times. Though golfing is one of Mr. Reagan's favorite sports, fishing and football both seem to have an important place in his heart. At World Series time he can always be found in front of the television set claiming only to be maintaining order! Under Mr. Reagan's watchful guidance, Moores- town Friends' School has grown both in its span of extra-curricular interests and in scholastic rating. Mr. Reagan was responsible for bringing two of his former students, Wilbur E. Carr and llerm Magee, to Moorestown to teach. Affilia- tion, one of Mr. Reagan's chief concerns in later years, has prospered. Not only did we have ex- change students from the Rudolf Steiner School attend M.F.S. but last summer we successfully completed our first European workcamp at the Steiner school in Nuremburg. Mr. Reagan has placed emphasis on under- standing and appreciation of our own and other religions. His Scripture classes and Monday morning assemblies have done much to bring us closer to the true principles of Christianity. For all these things, for his deep interest in our welfare, for his understanding and guidance, for his strength of character and leadership, we wish to dedicate our yearbook to Chester L. Reagan.
