The loss of two seniors due to gradua- tion may hinder the team in the line of experience, but Coach Siegman is still looking forward to continuing the league's winning streak started in l954. This year's seniors are Jack Vernocy, Jim Williams, David Baker and Bob Shacoski. JR. HI CHEERLEADERS Ji' SR. Jack Vernocy has done some ex- tensive traveling as a result of his golfing ability. Jack was invited to participate in the National Iaycee Junior Golf Tournament in Fargo, North Dakota, after being a winner in both the district and state golfing IOLll'I'l3l'l'leI'lIS. 'N 6 4 E X. ft Sf 2 ii P37 2 All but one of Moon High's coaching corps double in their coaching capacity as the seasons change. During football season Mr. Gracey head coach is assist- ed by Mr. McDaniels, Mr. Fryz and Mr. Lebec. When basketball season comes round Mr. Fryz takes over as head coachp Mr. Gracey works with the iunior high squad. Spring finds Mr. Lebec directing the baseball team. Mr. Merges with both a fall and spring schedule gives his com- plete attention to the track men. Mr. Siegman sponsors the golf and serves as Moon's athletic director. CHARTIERS AWARD A long time dream of Mr. Seigman became a reality this year with the formation of the Chartiers Conference set up by the district football coaches. The conference awarded 13 line trophies and 9 back lined trophies. This award goes annually to the sophomore who shows the most promise as a football player. This nas been set up by the class of 1957 as a memorial to their class- mate, Iohn Tilly. A gold football is also awarded. EM
