ii FOOTBALL FLASHBACKS MOON 0-WEST ALLEGHENY Z5 - A well-rounded Indian team con- stantly bit off large gains as both Moon's offense and defense failed to live up to its predicted strength. MOON Z0-BEAVER 13 - Deyton sprinted Q yards and crossed the Beaver goal in the echo of the final gun to give the Tigers a decisive victory over the Bobcats' powerful single wing. MOON O-HOPEWELL 31 - The Vikings burned the Moon gridiron with a volley of red hot aerials and sent our boys scurrying to the locker room in defeat. MOON 2-CARNEGIE 39 - A huge undefeated Carnegie eleven swarmed through the dogged Tigers in the first clash of league competition. MOON 0-SEWICKLEY 31 - The boys across the river joined in on the fun and ran roughshod over a deflated Tiger squad. MOON 0-CORAOPOLIS Z7 - The bitter rivals trounced the Tigers and redeemed themselves for the two previous losses handed them by Moon. MOON 6-NEVILLE 36 - The greatest 'Island' team in history invaded Moon's shattered varsity and often powered their way to pay dirt. MOON 13-GLASSPORT 56 - The Tigers saw some daylight with two T. D.'s but couldn't withstand the air attack that Ronnie aided the Gladiators to propel up and down the field to an overwhelming victory. MOON 0-BRIDGEVILLE 42 - The grand finale fell heavily on the Tigers as their sweat-streaked bodies trotted toward the shower room after suffering their last defeat. 'Duffy A Duffy's down but not out!
