ho am I? You don't know me. You may see me moving quickly through the hallway or taking a brisk walk to North Hall, but you probably think of me as just another in this big city or on this large campus. Some of you may know my name, Wendy, but you don't know me. Who are you? I see you everywhere, in pictures spread out all over the tables in the yearbook office, but I don't know you. Our individual worlds seldom cross, and we can't know each other. But I do know your face, and I know that we have the same kinds of struggles and hurts. I know, too, that we both have good times, times we want to remember. Remember all those Friday Nights! Well, I was in North Hall in the Arch office, making something that I could give to you. You don't know me, and I don't know you, but we have traveled a similar path in the last year, and I wanted us to remember the good and bad times. I wanted to give you something from my world so you could know we have a lot in common. So, I worked hard this year to give you The Arch 1986-87, a book of memories that somehow brings our worlds togeth- er. Wendy Clemens Editor-in-Chief . . 2 rm n 4.

awmrma-www The Practical Connection They are the unsung heroes of Moody Bible Institute . . . the men and women who go quietly about the busi- ness of making the students' faith practical. Not theologians, not philosophers or church historians, they, nevertheless, help every student take those disciplines and render them usable on the street, in the hospital, in nursing homes, in churches, in a hundred places where people may hear the Good News. The office on first floor Smith tat the bottom of the stepsl hums with activity. Students fill the area inside and out. Miss Bird calmly and attentively answers ques- tions, despite the average student's hyperactivity. In between questions, her sense of humor shows itself irrepressibly. Miss Krupsky sits at a computer in an un- obtrusive corner talking to one student after another, looking as though she had all the time in the world. Mr. Tahl, when not caring for the endless duties involved with handling the men's PCM's can often be seen talking to students over a cup of coffee in the Cove, demonstrating his interest beyond duty. Students have a lot to say about Anne Reid, a woman of many gifts and far reaching influence. llWarm and friendly reliable always pleasant never in a crummy mood . . . a friend . . . makes PCM meaningful has helped my effectiveness in ministry serves the Lord with her whole heart I love being in her office because I learn to much, Miss Bird Mr. Tahl Anne Reid
