il Dr. Rascher Miss Krupsky These are just a few of the comments students made about Anne whose job description is to go out with stu- dents on PCMs and see how they're doing, what's go- ing on. She describes herself as a trouble shooter, helping to solve relational and discipline problems which may come up, developing confidence in the workers and ordering literature for the ministries. She loves her job because it is so varied, because it involves putting into practice what is learned in the classroom, and because she loves the challenge of turning discourage- ment into hope. At the head of the department is Dr. Leonard Rascher. A paragraph is hardly enough to even begin to show this multi-dimensional man. Rounding the corner of Smith, one student bumped into a guy wearing glasses and an Indian bead tie. l'Where'd you go to charm school, Gracie? he said. Another day it might be llDo you feel as bad as you look? No one takes offense, for the jokes are genuine expressions of rare affection and concern. In student words: llHe's one of the best examples of Christian love . . . a good counsel- or . . . he gets excited about the Lord, he goes out and leads people to lesus. l'm not afraid to ask him for something . . . he seems to live what he believes. Thank you, PCM department, for carrying on your duties faithfully, sometimes without much attention or gratitude. Through you, students are fulfilling exactly what D.L.
