Focusing on Majors OR Plain Ole Fun, Clubs Provide Outlet In a round table discussion, DIA board members Don Brubaker, Joy Lanman, John Thurber, Maureen Donahue, Pat Friedline, and Marlis Kessler wonder where their adviser, Dr. Werner Graendorf could be. When classes are over, homework completed ter . . . almostj the members of seven campus clubs meet together for regular meetings and activities. Perhaps the largest of these, the Pre-Aviation club, is organized to keep Pre-Av majors in touch with the facilities in Elizabethton, Tenn. Like the Pre-Av club, the Pulpit club meets weekly to support other organizations and discuss the different aspects of a pastor's life. Interestingly enough, senior Peter Barton holds the distinction of being in charge of two clubs: the International Club, established to enable American students to become acquainted with the various cultures and customs within the student body, and the Fencing club, where students compete with various fencing weapons. The Epic club, comprised pirmarily of Communications majors, meets monthly to keep up with the current trends in the communications field. Married students are also involved in a group called the Married Students Fellowship. Finally, the Christian Education Student Extension group exists as a resource center for C.E. majors.
