In the summer of 1950, the 1951 ARCH Staff set to work on the production of the 1951 ARCH. We chose as our motto, as well as our theme of the book, Building Together. We knew the road ahead was going to be a diFFicult one, but by working and Building Together, and by the help of Almighty God, we also knew it would be a successful one. We have desired from the very outset that this annual would be one that would honour the lord Jesus Christ, and at the same time be a credit to the school. This we tried in measure to do by beautifying the cover, by adding kodachrome pic- tures, and by increasing the size. The events portrayed in this book are events into which we shall never enter again. Many of the people we see pic- tured on these pages we shall never see again until we meet in Glory. So as the book goes forth, we trust that throughout the years, the 1951 ARCH will bring many happy memories and rich blessings to those who peruse its pages. 1951 Robert Newman leads the singing at the Arch Staff banquet. Marie Gilmer checks letters while Elsie Samuelson types the minutes of the last meeting. Miss Darling, faculty advisor, Mr. Lessel, technical advisor, and Mr. The editor signs the contract while Mr. Lessel and Lois Paney, photography advisor, go over pictures for the photo contest. Edgemon look on.
