Jane Pteitle, Anne Quiggle, Ruth Reynolds, Frances Tramp, Virginia Weber, Lavina Williams, Edith Watherspoon fl'W14eA The Christian Nurses'Fellowship, organized with the aim of providing fellowship among the nurses attending Moody Bible Institute, provides oppor- tunities for students interested in this profession. It has made much progress during its short time of organization. ln the past year, fourteen nurses entered school from various parts of the country and Canada. All of them gave up full-time nursing to prepare more adequately for the service of the Lord. Sixteen nurses graduated in the past three terms. Some are now serving in foreign fields, while others are stationed in the home land, but all in the service of the Lord. Miss Dantuma has shown great interest in her work as advisor. Monthly meetings feature a va- riety of speakers, such as returned medical mis- sionaries, doctors, and student speakers. As ci proiect for the winter term, Bible study groups began in Chicago hospitals. The Christian Nurses meet for times of prayer, fellowship, discussion of professional problems, and testimonies of the Lord's leading in their lives. The nurses conduct the program at the Missionary Worker's Mission the first Sunday of each month, and the Lord has been pleased to use this means to save several souls. Also Gospel team work in hospitals through- out the city has been fruitful. It is the aim of the Christian Nurses Fellowship to send forth nurses for Christ. Miss Marshall became the new advisor and the staff was revised by adding several new offices to make a more efficient team. Entrance examinations were given to hopefuls who wanted to ioin in the search for news. The paper grew in size to l2M, x 18 inches with five columns. A new section featured Evening School news to bring this important phase of school life before the students. This feature helped to double subscriptions, which brought the staFf a step closer to their goal-a self supporting paper! Advertising also surprised every student when the first issue of the new Moody Student appeared January 26, l95l. As a member of the Associated Collegiate Press, the paper again won First Class rating in competition with college level papers. Another important phase of the work onthe part of the staff was the daily prayer meeting at noon in the Moody Student office, Much of the success of the new paper can be attributed to this prayer time. Other meetings during the year included the Wednesday night staff meeting once a month, and also the informal socials which the staff enioyed once a term.
