His life. . .a book of example and inspiration especially to boys and young men with whom his friendship was self-less giving. far-reaching and lasting in Sunday School and business world. A certain aloofness was his, but in combination with a marked Christian integrity. which commanded rc- spect while it invited one to sharr- his knowledge and help. if one wished to do so. An early riser, punctual twatch in handl, indefatigable in cause, methodical, a rebuke to indolenre always, frugal and carefully generous, resourceful, quick of perception, on occasion austere, sometimes abrupt, never haphazard, fastidious in pre- paration and execution of plan or under- standing, perscvering as evidenced bv mea- N -e william n SUI' e of victory over a lingual difficulty. Adella Dunlap has been a challenge both intellectually and spiritually. When ill health prevented her from taking the Gospel to India, she responded to Godfy call to the Institute, where she has spent the happiest years of her life. Not only those students who have had to take Eng- lish , but also many others. have grown to appreciate and admire this slender. se- rene lady with the attractive white hair and the bright, encouraging smile. Many enthusiastic students through the years Nl have penned grateful letters to Miss Dunlap. assuring her of the inspiration her life has been to them in the service of Christ throughout the world. Possessing a dignity of manner which discourages a too-ready familiarity. lNIiss Dunlap. like her Lord. keeps the good winel' until last. and those who patiently cultivate hcr acquaintance find themselves richly rewarded.
