Here are some of my friends who are enrolled in Evening School. You see, I was an Evening School student before I enrolled in Day School, and met many of them at that time. These young people who crowd our halls and classrooms each Tuesday and Friday evening live and work in or about the city, employed in secular work throughout the day, and receive their Christian training at night. They carry Synthesis and Doctrine, as well as the other General Course classes, just as we do, but it takes them twice as long to get their diploma. They usually carry one practical Christian work assign- ment a week, and many of them take private lessons in piano, organ, and voice, at the Institute. Most of their leisure hours are taken up with studies, but busy people are happy people, so they don't seem to Last year approximately sixteen hundred students were enrolled in the Evening School, and every term the Day School students welcome into their gradu- ating class one or more fellow classmates who have successfully completed their training in Evening School. These young people deserve a hearty cheer, for the grade isn't easy to make, and the load isn't easy to take, but the end justifies the means. - 1 . Bali ,,,,, ee xiii'-:filers 55' 'e2m:.53g.f 5?ef2.
