Since T was iookrng forward to gospei singing and choir work, T signed up 'for Generai Course' A Music. i have a number of friends who are training to be efangeiists and preachers. They're enroiied in the Pastors Course. Listed beiow are the seven different courses. GENERAL COURSE This is a basic course intended to train for generai ristian work, or to prepare for further or speciai- ized training. it is aiso the basis for some of the other courses, piacing, the emphasis upon the mastery of the Engiish Bibie, gospei music and personai work. The time required to compiete the course is two years. YASTORS COURSE P. B. Frrzwarss, Dirmof This course is especiaiiy adapted to equip men for the pastorate, and its subjects are taken up more thoroughiy than in the Generai Course. Three years is required to compietc the course. The seiection and articuiation of subjects, the centrai piace of the Word of. God: andlthe practicai Christian work, attractive and cihcient course of study. make this an ,f M1ss1oNARY COURSE WM. H. Hockwm, Director This course has as its aim speciaiized training for , work in foreign mission heids. The time normaiiy required to cover the course is two and a haif years The basis of the course is the first Five terms of the Generai Course to which are added speciai medicai and missionary subjects. Such training gives the missionary contacts and access to homes and hearts which wouid otherwise be ciose . CHRTSTTAN EDUCATTON COURSE Crarzence id. Besson, Director This course has as its aim the preparation of men and women for fuii-time service as directors of the educationai program of the church. in addition to the subjects of the Generai Course, it embraces 1 speciai studies in the heid of chiidren's work, adoies cent work, and administrative speciaiization THE CHRTSTT AN EDUCATTON -MUSTC COURSE This course provides an ideai course of training fo those who wish to quaiify for the duai position of director of Christian education and director church music, and inciudes the most essentiai sub- jects of both the Christian Education Course an the Music Course. Both the Christian Education and Christian Education-Music Courses require three years for compietion. MUSTC COURSE Dv.. Homer. Haumonrruss, Director The Music Course inciudes advanced Sti1diCS iii both in ciass and by private iessons. Students requisite taient may ht themseives for the try of music in the ev angeiistic iieid, or as organists, choir directors, soioists, and composers. The COHYSC is deveioped aiong two iinesfone for those who wish to major in piano or organnand one for those desiring to major in voice. A requirement for gradu- ation is that students shaii either appear in joint recitai or present an entire program at the end'of the second year.
