nineteen hundred seventy one WA L A M 0 LU Nl nnontville high school oakdale, Conn 1 Sometimes it's hard to express one's deep appreciation to people for what they have done for you for their dependable helping hand extended in your direction to guide you through difficulties and in making the right decisions. There are many times in a person's life when he doesn't know exactly how to say thank you for everything someone has done for him. The class of '71 ' feels this way about the continuous help and time our advisors, Mr. Robert Lamperelli and Mr. Kenneth Rawn, have given to this class throughout our high school years. lt's not easy to express our gratitude but we thought that dedicating our senior yearbook to you would be the way to show our sincere appreciation and to express that thank you which we don't exactly know how to say for everything you have done for our class . . . ,xv K LN 'x. 5 fs Q ff-i'f'f-,Q I 'S l B. Against Lyman on December 30, Scott Pomazon set a new total point record by scoring 35 out of the 84 points, giving Montville its fifth win. He then went on to break that record by scoring 40 points against Windham Tech on February 5, contributing to the new game scoring record of 111 points. Another honor given to a member of the team was the most valuable player trophy awarded to Mike Dodge during the Plainfield Tourney. Winning the game against Norwich Tech qualified the Midgets to compete in the CIAC Tourney, a first in the history of the school. Even though the boys gave everything they had, St. Joseph's outscored them, thus end- ing the Mighty Midgets' record-breaking sea- son. l.V. Scoreboard MHS 59 Old Lyme 52 E. O.
