T ecficaiion 1923 After the last Hail Montvale High School, Hail, and the class of 1964 walks through the door, diplomas in hand, they go to join the long roll of those who call Montvale their Alma Mater. Through the years these graduates have gone out to seek their places in the world. They are to be found literally all over the face of the globe in almost every field of service--in education, medicine, nursing, the ministry, music, drama, engineering, professional sports, the armed services, and in various business enterprises. Many have remained on the farm, and some have chosen to become homemakers. A few of the number have passed to hap¬ pier fields, some having given their lives for their country. We applaud the accomplishments of those who once stood where we stand today, and who have met the challenge of life. We acknowledge their contribution to the world, and we say to them, May we also serve as you have served! With grateful hearts and humble spirits To all of you who ' ve gone before We gladly dedicate the ECHO Of nineteen hundred sixty-four. The ECHO staff honors Mr. Clar¬ ence E. Mathews who for the past seven years has given his time cheerfully and promptly both in the classroom and in athletics. Unspoiled by victory, undaunted by de¬ feat, Coach, as he is called at MHS, has grown in depth of character and in the es¬ teem of his students and fellow teachers.
