gi s COl2ll SS ,., class hlS130l2, In the fall of 1952, we began our long journey to a great high school career with Mr. Goddard as our sponsor. There were many things that happened in our freshman year, and among them was our initiation. We elected Genevive Donaski as president, Donald Frazier as vice-president, Jo Ann Hill as secretaryg and Joanne Diem as treasurer. Our candidate, Jo Ann Hill, was chosen Harvest Fes- tival queen. When we returned in the fall of 53, we were sophomores and more-determined then ever. We chose as our sponsor, Mr. Miller. Our officers were Betty Sholler, president, Gerald Yeaster, vice-presidentg Jo Ann Hill, secretary, Dale Scanlon, treasurer. Then it came our turn to initiate the freshman. One of the most exciting events that happened that year was the selection of our class rings. In our junior year we again had Mr. Miller as our sponsor and we elected Jo Ann Hill, presidentg Julie Piechnik, secretaryg Betty Sholler, v1ce-presi- dent, Irene Cobleigh, treasurer. To earn money for our senior trip, we sold magazine subscriptions and that was a big success. We put on the play, Meet Corliss Archer. It was directed by Mrs. Goddard. Our candidate, Gerald Yeaster, was chosen Harvest Festival king. Joanne Diem was our representative on the Forensic Team and won second place. The biggest event of the year was the Junior-Senior Banquet. Our theme for the banquet was, Stairway 22 Thi Stars. That completed a wonderful year. The year 1954-55, we elected Louis Fras, president, Gerald Yeaster, vice- presidentg Dorris Mcwherter, secretaryg and Marlene Somers, treasurer. Dale Scanlon is Student Council president. Dean Wesley is treasurer of Student Council and Allan Davidson and Dean Wesley are representatives. Our candidate, Marlene Somers, was chosen Harvest Festival queen. Ward Dowell made All County in football this year. It was a great season for football, as we won the Class C Championship. Jo Ann Hill received the D. A. R. award. The senior play, 'Papa was a Preacher,' proved to be a very big success, and again Mrs. Goddard directed. The Junior-Senior Prom was held and was a very big success. We sold Christmas cards to help pay for our senior trip. For our annual senior trip the seniors decided to go on a M-day boat trip, and it was a very enjoy- able trip.
