CLASS HISTGRY '47 was the starting year For one hundred and three who were Gathered together as a Freshman class l-loping to stay until tour years would p Flanagan was chosen to see us through tilled with ass. And held the course both tirm and true, Until the picnic on the old ball grounds When we really telt we were out ot bounds. Roller skating and parties galore, But still we craved and asked tor more. The tinal picnic at Page's Lake Was said by all to take the cake. Then once again in '48 So tull ot pep we could hardly wait, With l-layes as President we'd look tor tun, And preparations were then begun. For days and weeks tar in advance We worked and planned the St. Patrick Where tun and trolic held tull sway, Still echoing trom that Gym today. Tripp Lake was then the tinal tling And there we did most everything. Gathered once more in '49 With Carolyn as president we were due We needed money tor our senior class, So as the months began to pass, Talent shows and Legion ads Chisled dollars from our dads. 's dance to shine. We stretched again those tight purse strings When they dug down to buy our rings. The Junior year would be incomplete Unless the seniors got their treat: Ansco Lake was picked tor the job And won approval trom the mob. ln '50 we were bound to click As Carolyn again the class did pick. Several bake sales, snow-ball hop, l-lallowe'en dance and soda pop, Box social and tashion show Continuously kept us on the go. The senior play, Come Rain or Shine, ls taking now most ot our time. We know the faculty has done its part And now is dear to every heart. With graduation drawing nigh We'll soon be leaving Montrose High. And as we go our many ways We're going to miss those good schoo l days. tear
