Coach NEWELL ATHLETIC FIELD DEDICATION In response to a dream for many years by many people the Trustees pledged and contributed the necessary funds to construct a new field for intramurals, physical education. Soccer and Baseball. On Oct. 21. 1982, The Board of Trustees, Faculty, Staff, Students and Visitors gathered on the field to dedicate it and name it for the Norris Newell Family. As Mr. Newell, A Board Member for many years, has maintained a concern for this project from its inception and has been a vital force in the campaign to fund and complete it.
