CLASS OF '54 In the fall of 1950, when we met for our first class meeting, one could not have guessed the many talents and individual capacities in the group. Nor could one have imagined how well those individual qualities would blend into our group activities. Hut it was our teamwork, our class spirit, for which we were known, and which caused others to look forward to our undertakings. People always expected “the unusual” from our class—they were never disappointed. Now, as we look back over our college days, we realize that we as a class have learned a great lesson, that, as Kipling puts it, “It is not the work of one man that brings us to our goal; It is the everlasting teamwork of every bloomin’ soul.” 20
