STRENGTH - REAUTY - TRUTH THE SUN DIAL We lingered one day in the garden, My own true love and me. The air was sweet with the scent of pine And the tang of the salty sea. The birds were singing an anthem. As we stood in our favorite place And watched the golden sunbeams Mark time on the sun dial’s face. What a lesson the sun dial taught us, What a message to reap from the flowers. We vowed to forget all our cloudy days And record just our “Sunny Hours.” - ESSE QUAM VIDERI —Isabelle Talbot tv dedication To a teacher whose sense of humor makes the hard tasks seem easy; To a class sponsor who counsels with wisdom and understanding; To a dean whose ideals inspire broader and higher living; To a lady who serves others efficiently, patiently, and graciously: With high respect and deep appreciation for her loyalty to Montreat College, we dedicate the 1949 sun dial to l YiiSd (Elizabeth J4oijt Jru ADMINISTRATION - VIEWS AND CLASSES First glimpse of the Gate . . .
