Hello, Superintendent ' s office, is the most used phrase of Mrs. Rex Black, secretary to our superintendent, Mr. Hays. Mrs. Black has served in this position for four years. Our handy woman at MCHS is Betty E. Grove, secretary to our principal, Mr. Allen. Miss Grove has a very busy job answering the telephone, giving out aspirins, making announcements, writing passes and absent slips to mention a few of her various duties. We have acquired eleven new teachers this year. Four of them, Mrs. Elinor Barber, Mr. Paul Hammel, Mr. Jay Beaver, and Mr. Michael Drayer, came to us from Roll due to the consolidation of M.H.S. with R.H.S. The other seven new teachers are new to all of us; they are Miss Donna Bowman, Mrs. Sylvia Kelley, Miss Linda Stewart and Mr. Wil- liam Nieman, all in their first year of teaching; and Mr. John Neff, Mr. Bert Richman and Mr. James Barley. We have also added to the number of classrooms. The library and cafeteria were divided in half to make two new classrooms. Mrs. Barber has her English classes in the north- east end of what was the cafeteria and Miss Bowman has her typing classes in the north- east end of what was the library. New shelves were installed across the new wall of the library for books. Students now eat on new fold-up tables in the multi-purpose room. 11
