Backed by fine coaching abi1ity,our team has shown remarkable im- provement since our first game with Dunkirk. CARI. HONAKER using all his past experience again produced a winning team for the Pacers. We are looking forward to another winning team next year. DON SCHWARZKOPF was our best rebounder until he chipped his ankle bone in the Hartford City game. We really missed him during the season. JACK CAIN is a regular player who could handle the ball and make his share of the points. His place on the floor will be difficult to fill. DICK PAYNE is one of the regular I I starters for the Pacers, and he was high point man in many gamesg we will certainly miss his sure eye next season. ASSISTANT COACH MODLIN assisted Mr. Honaker a great deal in practice and getting the boys ready for the games. DAVE NESTLEROAD was our youngest regular Pacer. He is a freshmen this year and we are expecting great things from him for three more years. BILL BALES started out slow but showed great improvement during every game. RAY COFFIELD didn't see a great deal of action, however, he was one ofour stronger reserves. This is his last year with the Pacers. - - 5 Q I I I . x - Nt' 1 pf I X ,iifsx PACERS BILL ROBBINS saw some action with the Pacers and showed great improvement through the season and will return next year with a great deal of experience to his credit. DANE WILLIAMS came to us this year from Desoto. He has gained a lot of experience that we will certainly be able to use in the future. Al- thouglithis was his first year on the team, DEWAYNE GROYESS height was of real use during many of our games. No team could really be a success without the help ofa fine student manager. We appreciate the fine moral support received from GA RY OVER- MEYER, ED KERSHNER a sophomore forward moved up the line from the second team early in the season toa regular player on the varsity. This is TOM NOL- LER'S first year on the varsity and we know he is look- ing forward to getting in more action next year. This is RODNEY BLACK'S first experience with varsity play. TEQRY OVERMEYER our assistant manager to Gary, was great help in getting the boys ready for practice and play. f BASEBALL The Pacers' baseball team has improved this last seasong ranking third last year, the Pacers are now in second place in the Eastern Indiana Confer- ence. Through the smoke filled room the curtain rises on the main attraction of the evening, Betty Zoe Racer in Annie Get Your Gun . As we move toward our table Mr. and Mrs. Bill Blanken- ship stop us to say hello. Seated with them are Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kyle, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Rinker. You will remember the wives as Phyllis Bergdoll, Carol Clements, Judy Ca ylor, and Sue Enochs. Our gay divorcee Mrs. Reginald Van Dyke XII, the former CarolDenton, in a white ermine stole is talking to Bill Bales, the oil tycoon. During the performance, the waiter, Tom Krebs, served Butterscotch on the Rocks mixed by the pro- ficient bartender, Roger Falk. At intermission time the Fire House Three-Plus One , a red hot combo consisting of Karen Trussel, Linda Hooks, Betty Carnes, and Raymond Coffield, played a request for Mr. and Mrs. Glen Weaver. She is the former Pat Yadon. Out on the terrace, Iack Cain, the Executive Bookkeeper of the Glessner Dairy, and his most efficient secretary, Mary Beth Buckmas- ter, are counting the money they won from Joe Kyle at the crap table. A blood curdling scream 'from the pool summons a crowd in time to see Dick Payne, the life guard, rescue Janet Fear, Immediately to the scene of the accident comes Dt. James A. Winger with his nurse Mary Ann Ford. Returning breathlessly to our seats, we are entertained by the famous dance team Sue and Joe Morris. She was formerly Sue Stukey. All eyes turn to the door as Sue Marshall, the Hollywood celebrity, enters with Larry Miles, her manager, and her body- guard, Howard Pence.
