' MA! The Crier Staff has thirteen members this year, two boys and eleven girls. They are members of the junior Class who volunteered for the staff and were free to work during the fourth period on Monday, as the copy must be sent to the Herald office on Monday. After .1 few weeks the staff organized with Harry Wfaters as editor-in-chief, Shirley Enochs as secretary-treasurer, and Gerald Keller as sports editor. At that time each member chose a certain teacher to interview and certain ac- tivities to report on. Besides preparing the news each week, the staff, with the assistance of the commercial department, issued a Christmas bulletin and expect to issue a spring bulletin. lt has been .1 great advantage that this staff has been able to type the news rather than having to rely on more advanced students to do the typing, Members who are faithful to their staff duties will be awarded a bronze cub reporter pin at the end of the year and will be given preference in the selection of next year's Annual staff. Other members of the staff are Nila Bright, Shirley Falk, Shirley Haworth. Ruby Lautzenheiser, Elizabeth Rogers, Sandra Schuller, Phyllis Thornburg, Norma Wliite, Neva ,lean Morris, and Sally Risinger. Q, sw: if 1 4 c g -I 7' . amcczf Staff After the Annual skits were presented on October 9, our Annual drive was opened by Mr. Morgan, who suls- scribed first for the Annuali' from Patty Carnes. Then we really began working, the bovs against the girls, in the subscription drive. XY7e waited very anxiously to see just who would be on the staff. The day the list was posted meant a lot to some, but others were disappointed. The staff began its work soon after the posting and worked steadily until the book went to press on Marclw I2. The most enjoyable work we did was writing the will and prophecy, which we finished on .lanuary QT. The members of the staff are Charlene Baker, editor-in-chief, Patty Carnes, literary editor, -Ioretta Armstrong, senior editorl Ray Saxman. -ithletic editorg ,lay Beaver, humor editorg Bonnie Bolner and Whilter jackson, activities editorsg Natalie Holmes, calendar editor, Aloyte Nuckols, business manager, Bob Shores, advertising manager, Carol Russell and lillen Howard, subscription managers: Phyllis Simmons and Patty Denton, typistsg Sharon Uvermeyer and Ruth W'entz, art and posters1 Beverly Irwin, snapshot editor.
