The Social Science Club has been handicapped this year by a small attendance at its meetings, usually having only nine members in attendance Mr. Hollander, prosecuting attorney ot Blacktora County, was speaker at the November meeting. He discussed county government and answered questions tor the group. The library club were guests. At the December meeting Sgt. Melvin Dicka- son was a guest and told about his training and work in the Army. The October and lanuary meet- ings were open discussions on present day topics. The club hopes to have Iudge Burns as speaker at a meeting this spring and perhaps have an exchange meeting with the Hartford City Club. Since there was none last year, the boys are spending most of their time becoming organized and trying their skill at two and three part songs. They also sing many songs written especially for boys. That they had to re-organize this year is no sign that the boys aren't active in public pertaini- ances. Several of them had leads in the Christirias program. Winmlaf' The senior Dramatic Club intends to enter upon a program to build up the morale of the stu- dents of M. l-l. S, They intend to give at least one performance this year for the student body as a whole. The sponsors are Miss Albertson and Miss Nelson. The class officers are president, lim Phillipsg vice-president, lunior Poulson, secretary, Vera Morgan, treasurer, Betty Grove. The office of pro- gram chairman was dispensed with by an amendment to the constitution. At each meeting a com- mittee is now appointed by the sponsors to plan the following club meeting. An initiation party was held, November l5, tor the thirteen new members, and a Christmas pfirty was held at the home of Miss Nelson on Dejember 21. Jim' 'KM This year the Miss America Club has divided its meetings into three parts: business, educa- tional, and social. So far this year they have given demonstrations and playlets and have seen educational movies. On December 22 they had a caroling party and a Christmas exchange. Cn May 5 they plan to en- tertain the mothers of the club members. The officers held a meeting at the beginning of the year and planned the program for the rest of the year.
